With the launch of Goodsmile’s new english website it easier then ever for those of use who can’t speak Japanese to find out the latest in Figure news from Japan.

And one of the lastest is this Polo System version of Rafiel from Maxfactory. Rafiel is from the PC game FullAni. Rafiel is the queen but don’t worry she is not cold and aloof. In fact if you play your tiles right she can get very warm indeed. She is slated to come out in December with a retail price of 7,800 yen. She stands in at 1/8 scale and 23cm tall. Being part of the Polo System means that she castoff in abled so she not for the kiddies. She is currently up for preorder at Hobby Search, Play-Asia , and Kid Nemo.

More pics over at Amiami.

She Wants Revenge is a modern rock group with definite darkwave leanings out of the San Fernando Valley. Like most of the music I’m listening too now a days I got turned on to She Wants Revenge from the Plagued by Rhythm podcast. Their videos like their music tends to be a bit on the dark-side with 50s scifi or horror themes. So go check them out.

They wont let me embed the video for Written in Blood so click the link a watch it over on youtube.

Well for those of you who may not know I’m a big fan of the TV series of Arron Sorkin. Unfortunately his first series Sports Night a sitcom/drama hybrid only lasted two season. Now for the 10th Anniversary Shout!Factory is releasing the entire series on DVD September 30th. The Eight disc set not only has all the episodes but a bunch of extras. Including a making of documentary. Face Off: ESPN’s SportsCenter vs. CSC’s Sports Night - Sports Night’s real-life ESPN counterparts discuss what the series got right and wrong. An Interview with Aaron Sorkin and Thomas Schlamme. Gag Reels, 8 Episode Commentaries, and a 36page booklet with an introduction by Aaron Sorkin. As the budget is tight right now I’m going to have to put this one on my Christmas Wish List.

Well it’s now official Google is entering the Web Browser Wars. The announcement was made via a web-comic, drawn by Scott McCloud, that explains how the browser call Chrome will differ from what we have come to expect from a web browser. The major difference appears to be that Chrome is more web application centric then web page centric. Chrome beta will launch Tuesday, so by the time you read this it might already be available in your area.

This just might be Googles “Killer App” that will hopefully make Microsoft fix IE and make it follow true web standards. The one worry I have is that Google might make it so that you have to run Chrome to run some of there apps. Which would be a dumb move on their part and most likely bring them ill will from the public. More likely is that while Google apps will continue to work with other browsers, to get some ‘features’ you’ll have to run Chrome.

Well was doing a little room reorganizing to help lower the Disarray Level and came across my old sketch book and decide to scan somethings out of it. Ok it’s not really a sketch book as I cant draw all that well and I don’t have the time to practice and get better. But, back in the day when I had time I would free hand copy images that I thought were inserting or of characters that I liked. Some turned looking like crap, some turned out OK, and a few turned out damn good. The above is one of the few that turned out damn good, click to see the larger version. I have no idea what the lady’s name is, as it was from back when I was getting some import manga magazines. If I remember right she is from a manga called Levy Face that ran in the monthly Comic Comp in the early 1990’s. The scan didn’t turn out too bad for a pencil drawing. There is a matching character that I will post later.
